The true Australasian experts
Our directors are true Australasian holiday experts who know everything there is to know about creating the best possible escorted tours of Australia. They have over 75 years combined experience in the travel industry.
They are ten-time winners at the prestigious British Travel Awards and have been awarded Feefo’s highest Platinum Trusted rating for consistently achieving exceptional customer feedback.
All our touring packages are fully-bonded by the Civil Aviation Authority (ATOL no. 10913), plus, if Distant Journeys is unable to operate your tour due to Covid-19, we will give you the option to change to another tour, defer your holiday to a later departure date or cancel your holiday with a full refund, so you can book knowing your money is 100% safe!
Award-winning tours
If proof is needed about the quality of our Australian tours, Distant Journeys is proud to be four-time winners of the ‘British Travel Awards’ ‘Best Small Holiday Company to Australasia’ – winning the award in 2016, again in 2017 and 2019 and most recently in December 2020. Distant Journeys also won the silver award for ‘Best Small Escorted Tours Company’ at the 2020 British Travel Awards, repeating the success of the previous year.
We know how good our tours are, and people who have travelled with us know this too, but to have our escorted tours officially recognised by such a prestigious organisation makes us very proud indeed.
Don’t miss out on New Zealand
If you’re already thinking of travelling to the other side of the world to tour Australia, why not nip over to New Zealand while you’re there? The 30-day Highlights of Australia and New Zealand tour combines all the countries’ best bits – making the most of your trip down under. And if you want to make the ultimate touring experience you can combine our full Australia and New Zealand tours to create one of four itineraries of between 42 and 56-day durations.
