The Crane General Practice

Hwuei, who is our Practice Principal doctor, has worked in various private General Practices in both Victoria and Western Australia, and in Aboriginal Medical Services across outback Western Australia and Northern Territory. Her wealth of experience in dealing with the culture, team and systems at various clinics, coupled with her ongoing commitment to provide better care for her patients, inspired her to set up The Crane General Practice.

Hwuei comes from a Malaysian Chinese background and chose “The Crane” because it embodies good health and longevity in her culture.

Originally a Victorian house built in the 1840s, our Practice is located along the leafy service road of Queens Parade with ample surrounding car parks and public transport access. Our Practice offers a welcoming and functional layout, and includes a breast-feeding corner, children’s play area, laptop work stations and an outdoor waiting area. It has been styled with a blend of vintage and contemporary interior fit out, upcycled furniture, and art collected by Hwuei during her travels around Australia. We hope you enjoy your experience and feel as relaxed as possible while waiting for your appointment.

We are staffed by an enthusiastic team who will endeavour to provide you with high quality, personalised care. We will soon be training medical students and GP registrars with the aim of creating well-rounded, competent doctors for the future generation.

We are in the process of creating efficient systems and useful resources tailored to your needs, hence your ongoing feedback is valuable in helping us improve our practice.
