Sorell Locksmiths is a husband and wife team (having been married since September 1995), and we have been working together to service Sorell and surrounding areas since 2000.

Jeremy and Belinda have 3 daughters – Jessica, Emily & Nicole – all of whom have attended Sorell School from Kinder to Grade 10, then Rosny College for Grades 11 and 12.

In the last 21 years we have seen fantastic growth in our area and a lot of changes to our business. When we first started, we were only mobile. In April 2001 we moved into a shop in Sorell opposite Mitre 10.

After 5 years at that location we expanded into our own larger shop next to Service Tasmania, staying there for 8 years.

In June 2014 we closed the retail premises, going back to our mobile roots.

Jeremy has over 30 years experience as a locksmith, completing his trade qualifications with Jackson’s the Locksmiths.

Belinda has been working since 2000 in the locksmith industry. She is also qualified to do electrical testing and tagging. (Registration number HE8504.)

Commercial locks – Brava, Carbine, Kaba and Lockwood
Door Closers – We supply and fit a large range of door closers to suit your situation.

The most common ones we supply are Dorma and Ryobi for main doors and Austral and Whitco for screen doors.

These are assessed on site as the door and usage – light doors, heavy doors, light usage, heavy usage, environmental conditions (wind) – all have an effect on the operation of the closer required, and we take all of this into account when deciding which door closer you need.
