Napier Street Aged Care Services is a fully accredited residential and community aged care service.

We offer permanent and respite residential care to eligible older adults who live in or have an association with the City of Port Phillip.

Our qualified staff provide 24 hour care in a safe and secure environment, where we encourage and promote independence whilst supporting residents with all their everyday care needs.

Established in 1993 as a low care hostel, Napier Street Aged Care has grown and developed into a beautifully restored 62-bed residence, which continues as a not-for-profit organisation, focussing on the needs of older residents of the Port Phillip community.

The landmark bluestone building was originally a girls’ orphanage, before it was bought by a trust, to provide residential care to seniors in the community. The first major redevelopment after its opening was in 1998 with the addition of a small dementia-specific wing. In 2010, an additional 18-bed wing over three levels was completed, with the opening up of some internal floorspace of the hostel. While this redevelopment saw the closure of the dementia specific wing, it allowed for the addition of a meeting room, an extra bathroom to accommodate a high-low bath and an increase in the size of the activities room. It also provided the capacity to offer more services to the community.

Nowadays, Napier Street Aged Care is a comfortable, attractive, welcoming residence comprising 62 private ensuite rooms with the capability for residents to change their care needs without having to change homes.
Napier Street Aged Care is fully accredited by the Australia Aged Care Quality Agency (AACQA).
