Hi there,

My name is Elise Wilson and I’m a locum optometrist based in Tasmania/Lutruwita and available for locum work across Australia.

I am a passionate, therapeutically-endorsed Hobart-based optometrist and have been practising full-time for six years, including as the Senior Optometrist at a branch in Hobart.

I advocate for the collaboration of multidisciplinary teams of health professionals working together to prevent ocular conditions before they have poor ocular outcomes, in particular in rural settings. I believe it’s important to refer early and begin education and collaboration across the allied health profession.

I also advocate for the optometrists themselves, and believe that their hard work and dedication deserve respect and recognition. I will always strive to give the resident optometrist peace of mind whilst they are away. I can keep the optometrist in the loop, or if they prefer, I’ll give them complete radio silence to sip margaritas in the sun until they return from vacation.

I am timely and neat and will not trash your optom rooms. In fact, I’ll try to leave it cleaner than when I found it.
