Dr Simran Mangat and Dr Richard Sheard created Derwent Eye Specialists in order to build an ophthalmology practice focussed on clinical excellence, positive patient experience and inclusiveness.
At Derwent Eye Specialists we offer a comprehensive range of eye care services. We collaborate with GPs, optometrists and other healthcare professionals to support patients through their diagnostic and treatment journey.

Our Key Services
Derwent Eye Specialists provides a full range of general and specialist ophthalmology services to patients in Hobart and across southern Tasmania. We are located in Hobart CBD, adjacent to Hobart Central car park and close to public transport.
The practice has state-of-the-art technology, including for cataract surgery planning, the investigation and treatment of retinal conditions, and glaucoma diagnosis and management.
