The Geographe Clinic

The approach to treatment is holistic and takes into account medical, psychiatric, social, psychological and spiritual aspects. Treatment modalities include medication, psychotherapy and mindfulness. Where necessary the psychiatrists can arrange admission for insured patients  into a psychiatric hospital for more acute treatment or for specialised treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation or ECT.

• Age Range:    TGC treats patients 17 years and older, but in selected circumstances younger patients can be assessed and/or managed.
• Psychiatric Conditions Treated:    Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Bipolar, PTSD, Trauma, ADHD, Autism, Drug and Alcohol Abuse, selected Personality Disorders. Schizophrenia is best treated in the public system.
• DVA: The Clinic accepts DVA clients and Bulk Bills them.
• Workers Compensation: Patients are accepted, provided their insurer has agreed to pay for psychiatric treatment.
• Psychiatric reports: The Clinic is capable of preparing medicolegal reports at the written request of a lawyer. The Clinic is able to provide DSP reports for a patient but these must be paid for privately as they do not attract a Medicare rebate.
